Even more impressive is its CRi of 93. The combination of the lighting source and CRi ensures that the coloring of your objects are excellent.
The combination of the background and the strong bright lights could create some reflection or glare. To avoid this, use the provided overhead diffuser which can be raised and lowered.
You can also switch out the background color with the provided backdrops. You can choose between a white, black and orange background for your subjects.

How Good Is the Lighting?
In terms of lighting source, the Havox Photo Studio gives you bang for your buck. The kit comes with 4 SMD LED light bars giving off a near to daylight color temperature of 5500 Kelvins and a luminous flux between 12,500 – 13,000 or up to 26,000 on the large models.
Each individual LED is dimmable which gives you a lot of play with the lighting. You also don’t have to worry about any flickering, even when the light is dimmed.
Each of the 4 SMD LED bars in the box can be moved along the sides and top of the light box. This is useful when you want to change the angle of the lighting source.
The coloring of your photos will be accurate given the CRi of 93. This is a much higher CRi compared to halogen or fluorescent lighting.
So, this photography light box has the technical specs to produce great lighting for quality photos. However, you will only be able to achieve the best results if you are using an appropriate camera, as well.
If you are shooting products using the camera on a cellphone or low-end digital camera, then this will be reflected in the pictures. Using such cameras can result in blurriness, dust spots and glare.
Rating the Ease of Use and Functionality
The Havox Photo Studio is very easy to use, even for amateur photographers. The company has even included a detailed manual to guide you through the assembly and how to get the best results using this photography lighting box.
Putting together the photography light box will take around 15 minutes. It is not a difficult process but it does take longer compared to some other photography light box models. If you do need a truly portable photography light box, it might be worth checking out our Foldio 3 light box review before you decide to buy.
For this reason, it is better kept assembled at a studio or elsewhere at home.
Once you’ve assembled the box, getting the right angles and lighting is reasonably straightforward. You can also check the manual for tips when you are new to using a light box.
There is a functional issue with the Havox Photo Studio. The light diffuser is placed above which can block out your shooting angle from the top.
Although there is an opening in the middle of the diffuser, depending on your camera, this opening might not be sufficient for top-down shots. So, if you find that you need the diffuser, then you have to limit yourself to front angles.
